Volunteers are the back bone of Pocket Change! Without our wonderful
volunteers, we would be unable to coordinate such an exciting event!
Thank you for taking the time to consider helping us with our sale!
Pocket Change offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities!
If
you are an expectant mom or have special needs, please let us know,
Pocket Change has other duties which require little to no
standing. Please indicate this when registering so we can let you
know when these options are available.
Please bring any snacks or drinks that
you may need during your shift, just note that food and drinks
should not be on the sales floor to prevent staining any clothing.
NO children allowed while you are completing your volunteer shift.
Want to shop extra extra early? Volunteer a total of 8 hours and
you will be amongst the earliest group shopping.
Would you love to volunteer, but due to time constraints or baby
sitting issues can't make a shift? Maybe you could swap baby
sitting hours with a friend.
Sorry, NO guest passes are
available for the volunteer presales and only one person per pass
will be allowed to enter at those times.
Volunteers must be willing to provide Pocket
Change with at least 4 hours of their time... in exchange for their
time, they will receive the
earliest of shopping privileges.
If you cannot volunteer your time,
consider our trade-out services!
You do not have to consign with Pocket Change to take advantage of
volunteer opportunities and to receive early shopping benefits.

Change volunteer policies |

If you volunteer to work a shift and do not
follow through with your commitment, you will loose your
privileges as a volunteer. Volunteers who miss their scheduled
shift after the volunteer Pre-Sale, and who take advantage of the
early shopping privileges will be assessed a $10.00 early shopping
fee. This fee will be deducted from your sale funds.
In addition,
you will be charged the $15.00 consignor fee. If you can
find replacement for your scheduled shift time, your privileges
will stay intact.
If you find it
necessary to call and cancel or reschedule your shift, please do
so 24-hours in advance of your shift. Volunteers who do not call
will not be allowed to register as a volunteer for the next
season's sale.
Volunteers are
NOT permitted to bring children to their scheduled shift unless
the child is breastfeeding. If you have an infant, please bring a
pack n' play to your shift, consigned items will not be available
for personal use unless purchased. Infants must be confined for
safety reasons. With the hustle and bustle it is an easy place
for children to get hurt or wander off unnoticed. Thank you for
your understanding.
This policy
prevents people from taking advantage of the volunteer benefits,
and then failing to work their scheduled shift. We are committed
to keeping our volunteers to a minimum allowing them the maximum
in benefits. This policy allows us to attract only those who are
responsible and dependable.
Please thoughtfully consider the commitment
before requesting a shift.
